• Two rear shock absorbers, supplied as one set.
• Application-specific fitting instructions, suspension manual and spring-preload adjustment tool.
• Two replacement piggyback-reservoir stickers. These allow logo orientation to be changed; part-number and preload labels remain in their original orientation.

Installation notes

• Check rear-fender and belt-guard clearance and the alignment of the upper and lower shock mounts.
• A change in ride height may require a different side stand.
• Saddlebags or saddlebag supports may interfere with the rear shocks; inspect the actual vehicle before ordering.
• Product photographs are generic to the model and do not show the exact application. Spring dimensions and preload position vary by vehicle; supplied spacer types may vary by production batch.
• These shock absorbers contain high-pressure nitrogen. Keep them away from fire and heat, and do not pierce them. Installation and opening must be performed only by a Bitubo Technical Centre or a specialised workshop.
• Follow the application-specific instructions supplied with the shocks in preference to the general manual. If no specific fitting instructions are supplied, follow the motorcycle manufacturer’s technical manual. Use the vehicle manufacturer’s specified tightening torques and check clearance throughout suspension operation.
• Where alternative mounting spacers are supplied, select the spacers that keep both shocks parallel to each other and correctly aligned with the motorcycle.
• Check shock operation every 10,000 km and at least once a year. Have a Bitubo Technical Centre or specialised workshop overhaul the shocks every 20,000 km and at least once every two years. Check for oil traces or buildup, mounting screws and spring-adjusting ring nuts at least 3–4 times a year.
• Keep the shocks clean using water and neutral soap. Never direct a high-pressure water jet at the shock body, head or adjusters, and never use aggressive detergents.
