Installation notes

• Read the instructions first. Park on firm, level ground, switch off the ignition and let the engine and exhaust cool completely.
• Use metric hex wrenches/bits and an in-lb torque wrench. Remove and retain the 2 original screws. Insert the cover's upper edge between the tappet blocks, rotate it downward and gently push inward until the screw holes align.
• Start both original screws before tightening. Tighten them to 85–115 in-lb (9.6–12.9 Nm).
• Check that every fastener, including preassembled fasteners, is tight before riding. Inspect and maintain them periodically.
• Ensure the end user receives the installation instructions for future reference.
