Fitment and installation

Installation notes

• The HD-7517 instructions specify 45 in-lb for the three filter-mounting bolts.
• Engine modifications may require appropriate engine tuning. Follow the installation instructions whenever the filter is serviced.
• Clean the backing plate and housing. Check that the hose base sits flush with the filter base and that the hose is centered in the filter opening.
• After fitting, check that the filter is fully seated and sealed. Follow these instructions at every service; an incomplete seal can damage the engine.
