Fitment and installation

• For compatible 2008–2019 Harley-Davidson electronic-throttle configurations, subject to the exclusions below.
• Not for 2018–2019 FLTRXSE.
• Compatible with aftermarket internal-bar heaters; not compatible with OEM heated grips whose heating element is inside the grip.
• Four-hole end-cap accessories are not compatible. Use end accessories specified for Kinetic grips.

• 1 left/clutch grip, 1 right/throttle grip, 1 tube of adhesive and installation instructions. Throttle Boss is sold separately.

Installation notes

• Follow the motorcycle service manual and grip instructions. Park on a firm, level surface with the ignition off. Consult a trained technician if you cannot complete the procedure; improper installation can cause serious injury or death.
• Engage the throttle-grip teeth fully with the sensor teeth and seat the flange in the switch-housing channel. Reuse and secure the original housing fasteners and any loosened control clamp.
• Remove old adhesive or rubber from the clutch-side bar with 80–100 grit abrasive, then clean and degrease the bar and grip interior as instructed. Apply adhesive along the inner rubber surface and match the directional pad pattern on both grips.
• Position the clutch grip promptly, with its flange seated in the housing channel. The adhesive allows approximately 6 seconds for positioning and cannot be readjusted after it stops moving. Hold firmly for 15 seconds and allow at least 30 minutes to cure before riding.
• Read the adhesive precautions, avoid skin and eye contact, and protect the motorcycle from glue drips.
• Before starting, check that the throttle moves freely and returns fully closed. Binding or failed return can cause loss of control, serious injury or death. Confirm clearance and check all fasteners before use and periodically afterward.
• Aftermarket handlebars require an additional fit and throttle-return check. Do not use the assembly if the throttle binds.
