Installation notes

• Professional installation and ignition timing adjustment are required. Follow the exact Dyna S installation instructions and the motorcycle factory manual.
• Late models originally equipped with electronic ignition require a separate mechanical advance unit. Confirm free movement of the magnetic rotor; aftermarket advance units may require fit adjustment.
• Disconnect the ignition from the coils and remove power before resistance testing. Follow the exact manual’s wiring and meter-polarity precautions; incorrect wiring can damage the ignition.
• The DC10-1 coils are polarity-sensitive: connect switched +12 V to the marked positive terminal. The original coil mount cannot be used; provide suitable separate mounting brackets.
