Fitment and installation

• The product is designed around original components; aftermarket advance units may require fit adjustment. Confirm that the magnetic rotor turns freely without binding.
• For single-plug heads (two spark plugs total), the manufacturer specifies one 5 Ω primary-resistance coil for street use or one 3 Ω coil for racing. For dual-plug heads (four spark plugs total), its DS6-1 chart specifies two 1.5 Ω coils wired in series for street or racing use. Follow the exact ignition/coil wiring chart; these configurations are not interchangeable.
• Perform the specified standalone pre-connection electrical test. For resistance tests, disconnect the module from the coils and do not apply power; follow the exact manual’s lead identification and meter-polarity precautions.
• Incorrect wiring can damage the ignition. NEO states that damage caused by reversed wiring is excluded from manufacturer warranty.
