Installation notes

• Have a qualified motorcycle workshop install and set up the ignition. Use the original compatible coil; do not use a coil intended for CDI ignition.
• The exact manufacturer manual requires carbon, graphite or spiral-core suppression plug wires rated 300–4000 ohms per foot. Original Harley-Davidson wires are acceptable; metal-core wires may cause ignition malfunction.
• Advance curve and rev-limit selection must suit the actual engine, camshaft and valve springs. Group C curves are intended only for turbocharged or nitrous applications.
• The recessed Advance selector may require a precision screwdriver. Align Advance to the circular/dot index and Rev Limit to the triangular index; do not leave a selector between positions.
• NEO lists shipment settings of Advance 22C and Rev Limit 6250 rpm. Confirm the actual unit settings before use.
• No programming-kit option is provided. Speedometer and odometer readings may differ because the module is not individually calibrated for each model; verify operation after installation.
• NEO notes that the engine-check lamp no longer performs its normal key-on illumination, while fault illumination remains operative.
