Fitment and installation

• For a compatible 1-inch handlebar and fork-tree mounting interface; check cables, hoses, wiring and tank clearance on the actual motorcycle.
• Not for Springer, V-Rod, fat-bar configurations or integrated top-clamp/riser assemblies, including the source-listed 2007-on FLSTF and XL1200X examples.
• Not for 2018-on FXBB, FXBR or FXST, or Revolution Max models.
• Deuce is excluded without dedicated solid mounts. The source-linked 001738 kit covers 2000–2007 FXSTD and is sold separately; after conversion, Deuce-specific risers cannot be reused.
• Tighten the top clamp evenly; excessive torque can damage the riser.
• Installation requires professional knowledge and tools. Check control cables, hoses, wiring and clearance on the actual motorcycle.
• Use two 1/2-13 mounting bolts with flat washers and medium-strength blue threadlocker. Align the riser with the front wheel, then use a 3/4-inch socket and tighten to 30–40 ft-lb (40.6–54.2 N·m).
• Apply the same threadlocker to all four 5/16-18 clamp screws and start them by hand. Tighten progressively in an X pattern with a 1/4-inch Allen tool, then torque to 12–18 ft-lb (16.2–24.4 N·m).
• Thread condition or coating may require reworking with a tap or die.
• Hollow uprights permit internal wiring only with the required fabrication; this is not a prewired assembly.
• Check the top-clamp bolt pattern before reusing an original gauge bracket.
